Access the View your education data service
Guidance on how to access the View your education data service using your DfE Sign-in account.
View your education data
VYED is a platform for interactive dashboards, tools and reports for the data your organisation submits to DfE. These are called sub-services.
To get access to the View your education data service (VYED) and it’s sub-services, you need a DfE Sign-in DfE Sign-in account. Create a DfE sign-in account , if you do not already have one.
Request access for the first time
You can check if you have access to VYED in the services section of your DfE sign-in account.
If you do not see VYED in your list of services, you will need to request access to it, along with any sub-services you need.
To request access
- go to 'services' and 'add services to my account'
- select your organisation
- select ‘VYED’ and each sub-service you need
If you are registered to more than one organisation in your DfE sign-in account, you will need to request access to VYED for each organisation separately.
Your organisations
To view a list of your organisations, go to the organisation section of your DfE Sign-in account.
If you do not see your organisation, go to 'request access to an organisation' and follow the instructions.

After you request access
Once you request access, an email is sent to your organisation's approver. You will get an email once they have approved the request. This will confirm you have access.
You can check the status of a request under the requests section of your DfE Sign-in account.
Your organisations approvers
To find a list of approvers for your organisation:
- go to 'organisations'
- select your organisation from the list
- select 'show approvers'
If an approver in your list has left your organisation, you can submit an enquiry to let us know.
If there are no approvers in your organisation, your request will be verified by the DfE sign-in team. This can take up to 5 working days.
If you are an approver
To access VYED for yourself, log in to DfE Sign-in and add the service ‘view your education data’ and the relevant sub-services.
To give someone else access, select the approve button in the email request from dfe.signin@education.gov.uk and follow the instructions.
